It was a lovely sunrise this morning. Bob and I drove up to the 360 degree lookout but missed the best of it. We saw Karen riding her bike away when we arrived – she was there for the colour.
We all went on a tour of the Old Timer Mine which was a active opal mine in the early 1900’s. It also included an old dugout house which has been interconnected with the mine which was occupied until the early 1990’s.
After stocking up on food for our next leg we headed out with Karen and Kieran for a bike ride. First stop was the Serbian Orthodox dugout church. A very beautiful piece of architecture.
This afternoon we all headed out to The Breakaways for sunset (see header photo as well as below). The sunset was beautiful to watch as we enjoyed homemade dips and cheese.
We have an early pack up tomorrow as we start our travel towards Uluru.

Beautiful skies!
It was great both ends of the day! Hasn’t been a lot of clouds so far so was a rare treat.
Looks gorgeous. Was there more to see and do. Or was a day enough? Safe?
We had 2 nights there and felt that was sufficient. That included the afternoon we arrived. Safe enough. Wouldn’t go wandering on my own but felt safe in a group. Alcohol purchase limits invoked with sharing of ID information between establishments.
