Another big travel day! It started with pretty well all of us independently trawling around Karlu Karlu before sunrise. The colours were amazing!

A hurried pack before we were on the road around 8 for the 525km trek to Daly Waters. We stopped at Tennant Creek for fuel and some supplies as well as a tour of the telegraph station. I have to say that I found it surprisingly interesting.

We found a stop along the way to replenish the firewood supplies – 3 electric chainsaws doing their thing 🙂

We arrived around 3ish at Daly Waters. So many people! Caravans and tents and a simply amazing pub. We spent the afternoon/evening at the pub….live music, Barra and Beef for the non vegetarians (read everyone except me) which by all accounts was great. State of Origin for those inclined (not me).

Tomorrow we head to Mataranka Springs for a couple of relax days. A chilled 160km travel tomorrow – a walk in the park compared to the last few days. Temps have risen dramatically – it was around 30 deg when we arrived this afternoon. Beanies may be getting stashed soon.
