Today we left Darwin after a fun 3 days, heading for Litchfield National Park. Jase and Sue squeezed in a quick fishing trip before we left.

We took some advice from the Darwin locals and stopped 40km down the road at Berry Springs. A great cool off in another float down the river springs

Next stop was the Cascades in Litchfield National Park. The lower Cascades are closed for crocs, so we had to trek the long way over the hill to the upper Cascades. We were rewarded with a series of natural waterholes and enjoyed a couple of hours of swimming.

On to our campground at Wangi Falls to complete a leisurely 130km moving day. Jase and Sue are staying at Banyan tonight, but will join us at Wangi in the morning. The falls are magic and it is considered the best swimming hole in Litchfield. Unfortunately it is still closed as the currents are a bit high and there is a resident croc that they can’t catch.
