2023-06-11 Wangi Falls Loop track
Another day today of hiking, cascades and waterholes. Jason and Sue drove back to our campground this morning (they were unable to secure the full 3 nights at the camp so had to stay up the road a bit for the first night). We headed back to Wangi Falls and inspected the croc trap…no luck yet.
We then embarked on a 5km hike up across the top of the falls. Once up on the plateau we headed 1km further in and found a spot in Wangi Creek with pretty little cascades and a waterhole. A perfect spot to refresh and have some lunch.
This afternoon we went for a drive to an abandoned tin mine along Bamboo Creek, then to another set of water holes/cascades at Walker Creek for another cool off before sunset. Keeping cool and hydrated while exploring during the day has been our priority.
Tomorrow we are planning to visit Florence Falls. Unfortunately, as in Kakadu, there are a number of places that are closed to visitors which we would have liked to see.

Photos continue to be fabulous. And the tour is so great.
Thanks Nicki, yes going great still. Yours looks amazing too! Lots to compare when we catch back up in September.
