This morning we packed breakfast and headed to Gantheaume Point to enjoy it. It was actually a little cool until the sun worked it’s way into the sky a bit. We all enjoyed our pancakes, croissants and bacon and eggs on the beach followed by an explore on the rocks.

We headed our own ways again for the morning. Bob and I decided to give the car it’s 2 monthly wash, whether it needed it or not 😉 .

We met back up at the local brewery (Matso’s) for lunch and to sample the brewery products. Bob has been keen to revisit here since we came for our wedding anniversary to Broome 6 years ago.

Back to finalising washing, groceries (and fishing for Jase and Sue) for the afternoon before heading to the oldest functioning movie garden (outdoor movie theatre) in the world this evening. We saw the John Farnham movie Finding the Voice and I really enjoyed it.

Tomorrow we head up into Cape Leveque. The intention is to spend a week or so up there, however we have found out tonight that the Gibb River Road is closing on Tuesday (about a week before we are booked on it) due to the upcoming weather event. We are hopeful that the weather will not be too bad on the cape and we can stay informed on the impacts on our planned travel for the coming weeks.
