Today was so relaxing. We headed off around 830 for the 8km drive and then 2km hike to the gorge. Shoes came off and we walked through the water at the top of the falls to get down the really steep and rocky access to the base of the falls. So worth it!

Once we got down to the bottom it was like a little piece of paradise. We spent the morning swimming, droning and Karen and I continued feeding our obsession with cryptic crosswords.

After lunch we all swam downstream to the next falls and Karen and Kieran climbed down and continued further. I sat at the top of the small falls on the rocks and watched on.

After we’d had enough sun we headed back for a relax before dinner. Karen has got the fire going and it’s an early post for me tonight so I can sit and enjoy it 🙂 .

  1. beautiful…….on a side note, I saw on the news yesterday that someone was attacked by a croc at Wangi Falls in Litchfield. Looks like you made the right call not to swim there.

    1. Yep. It was closed for swimming due to crocs while we were there anyway. It opened a few days after we left. We had friends swim there last week!
