I still think the name of this town is weird. Who has a number as their town name? Although I do understand it’s significance…..

Today was a bit of travel and a bit of exploring. We moved about 270km down the road and there wasn’t a lot to see other than along the river for brekky at Rockhampton. We have set up at our sites at 1770 (it’s easier to write it this way, even though it’s wrong) and have the most beautiful shady, tree-lined sites of the whole trip. It’s just a shame that we didn’t get powered sites and generators are banned. Solar panels will be useless. Oops…. I booked these ones 🙂 .

We headed out to explore later this afternoon. I can see why this place is so popular.

We headed to the marina to have a look around and ended up staying till sunset. It’s so cool having fridges in our cars….in 5 minutes we had wine, cheese, dip and bikkies set up with no notice for a very enjoyable end to the day.
