2023-05-10 It’s a Bird’s Life
A very big and very welcome change of pace today. There were no alarms to get us up and we had a relaxed morning with a cooked brekky and plenty of time for the maintenance tasks that have built up over the last week or so. Karen updated her trip diary, Bob fixed the 12V power in the car after I pushed the travel charging power station to it’s limit yesterday… I fixed the 2 way radio aerial that has been playing up and Kieran did some editing for his YouTube video of our first week away.
The birds were out in the waterhole and I was lucky enough to see some Brolgas dancing while I was out having a stroll. Karen is very keen to find them again tomorrow.
Karen headed out for an explore on her bike, and after lunch we all headed to the hot springs for a soak. 35 degrees and very pleasant.
Some more relaxing this afternoon and bird watching. We have decided that we will stay until Friday as we are really enjoying it here.
We decided that tonight was formal night. We all brought along ‘formal’ clothes for the trip and we set ourselves up by the waterhole and ate dinner. A fun night. Now we are about to sit by the fire and enjoy our own ‘cinema under the stars’.
For anyone interested with 10mins to spare while having a cuppa, this is the link to Kieran’s vlog of our first week of travels.
