2023-06-01 Bitter Springs
This morning was a slowish departure. We all arrived back to our vans in dribs and drabs last night and never really arranged a departure time. Last night the girls channelled our inner youth and we all got custom made anklets. I was so impressed they could make them big enough for cankles!
Bob and I went for a walk around the heritage trail this morning and saw the Stuart Tree – Stuart apparently carved an S into this tree in the 1860’s when surveying for a route north to south. Fuel was then purchased before we headed off. The payment system here is definitely based on an honesty system!

We stopped at Larrimah on our way through. A cute pub with homemade pies that we all indulged in.

Then straight through to Bitter Springs. We have spent the afternoon drifting down the warm springs. The water colour is simply unbelievable. We have a couple of days here to relax and enjoy the balmy tropical weather.
