A relaxed departure from Wangi Falls this morning – we all headed down for one last look at the falls and confirmation that the croc is still out there…
A 500km trek today. Not a heap to report. We stopped at the magnetic termite mounds – the mounds are built with their main surface area facing north and south and next to nothing east/west to reduce the heating effect during the day.
A short stop for lunch at Pine Creek which is where we intersected our route heading north to Kakadu. Then we backtracked to Katherine before embarking on our route to the west. Tonight we are at Victoria River for our last night in the NT. An early start tomorrow heading into WA and a few nights at the Lake Argyle Resort. Times will change tomorrow. The sun rises so late here – we are still only 30 mins behind the time at home.
