Bob and I took off early this morning to hike to the summit of Mt Ngungun while the morning light was good. It was a decent climb of nearly 200m over about 1.2km. The view of the volcanic plugs was worth the effort.
We were done by 9am so headed into Mooloolaba for a look around and a reminisce of our last trip there 22 years ago. It has changed a lot!
While we were out playing on the south side, Karen and Kieran were hiking on the north side. They headed up Mt Coolum and enjoyed the view.
From there we headed over to the Zone RV factory where we met up with Karen and Kieran to look through the latest and greatest offerings for their off-road caravans. Maybe one of those will feature in our post-retirement travel plans. But that will be a while away…
We then headed for a look around Coolum Beach and a late lunch a the Surf Club. We really are extracting every last bit out of this holiday 🙂 .
Tomorrow we continue south and will hit NSW for the first time since the start of May.
