After another starry night in the swag we packed up camp early ready for a morning hike back at the domes. The light was very different from when we were there at sunset on Sunday.  We hiked to The Window where we all said goodbye to Karen and Kieran as they continued hiking further – they are staying another night in Purnululu.  The rest of us headed back as Bob and I had booked a helicopter flight over the ranges.

The flight was sooo good.  We saw the whole of the Bungle Bungles from the air.  Just mesmerizing scenery, and surprisingly varied.  I was torn between taking photos and just absorbing it all.  I did a bit of both.

After the chopper ride we grabbed some lunch and started lurching and bouncing our way back out of the park for a few hours. We are all at different locations tonight – we are back at Violet Valley to collect the van and repack the car for travel.  Tomorrow we head west towards Broome with a couple of stopover nights.  Hoping to swim into Tunnel Creek Gorge at some stage.  With no Starlink friends with us I can’t post tonight.  I’ll try to post tomorrow when we get reception.
