On the move again today. Although the distances we are travelling aren’t huge, the pace is relatively slow. We were on the road by 9 and arrived at Drysdale Station 160km up the road in time for a late lunch. There isn’t too much evidence of the wet from a couple of weeks ago now. Dust everywhere!

We did a partial set up as the vans are going into storage tomorrow and headed out on the bikes to check the water crossing 3km up the road that we will be doing tomorrow. It was a good opportunity for a cool down as well. Kieran successfully managed to ride through the crossing with quite a decent cross flow. The rest of us just walked it.

After cooling off at the crossing we rode back and started prep for the next 3 nights tenting/swagging it as we are heading to Mitchell Falls which is not suitable for vans. Our reward was a gorgeous sunset and a drink at the station bar before dinner back at our vans.

We won’t have any Starlink for comms for the next 3 nights. Expect a bombardment of posts in 4 days!
