We feel like we’ve had an actual weekend! Karen and Kieran exercised early while Bob and I caught up on the news of the world and did crosswords. Karen has given me some of her shots from her walk. I really love the rope one.

After a relaxing morning, the Scott’s headed back to the river to kayak. Kieran decided to not only ride his bike, but to carry the 19kg double kayak on his back as well…..

Bob and I met them at the river at the end of their paddle with a picnic lunch. We sat on a sand island in the middle of the river in the shade and enjoyed a couple of hours of relax time.

This afternoon we continued the relax theme. Karen and Kieran had a camp oven dinner, and I even prepared a self saucing pudding for the camp oven! Not a regular achievement for me to cook, ever.

Karen and I played Finska, where I was (not surprisingly) flogged over 2 games while the boys prepared dinner.

Tonight we are enjoying one last fire at Drysdale before we head to Ellenbrae. It’s been a lovely little recharge.
